we were christened, somewhat literally, last night and this morning into the world of parenting.

while changing eli in the wee hours of midnight, i was presented with a cool golden shower of sterile baby urine. had i known this was happening, i would have intervened sooner (it was dark, i was sleepy). however, it wasn't until a growing spot on my chest just below the left shoulder became cold and wet, that i noticed eli trying to water the plant.
